Barre class types

Level & intensity

Classes without a level marker are open to everyone — suitable for beginners. Physical intensity may vary depending on the instructor.

First time at Barre? Start here.

You don't need a ballet background and you don't need to be flexible. Our instructors explain everything from the very first exercise: posture, working at the barre, breathing. You start slowly, they help you with technique, and you enjoy the class.

Your first class:

  • → Barre Intro: when it's on the schedule, this is the slowest and most patient class, made for complete beginners.
  • → Barre Soft: if there's no Intro this week, try Soft. It's also slow, we explain the basics, and it makes an ideal first class.

Class types

Barre Soft

Suitable for beginners and lower-intermediate

A gentle yet effective class inspired by ballet and Pilates — focused on mindful movement, toning and better posture.

Works at a slower, controlled pace with emphasis on precise execution and proper breathing. You'll effectively engage deep (core) muscles, tone problem areas and support flexibility and balance.

The class combines strengthening with stretching elements — it helps shape long, lean muscles without bulk and leaves you feeling both released and stable.

Total Barre

Suitable for all levels

A comprehensive full-body Barre class — combining strength work, cardio bursts, barre work and floor work, with a closing stretch.

Run at a medium, flowing pace balancing precision and conditioning. Engages every major muscle group — legs, glutes, abs, back and arms — and builds muscular endurance, flexibility and coordination in a single session.

Barre Sculpt

Suitable for lower-intermediate and advanced

A more dynamic and intense Barre class focused on body shaping and strength building. Blends ballet, Pilates and strength training into energetic, flowing movement.

Works at a more dynamic pace with emphasis on endurance, reps and precise execution. Uses props like light dumbbells, resistance bands and balls for extra muscle activation and training intensity.

The class tones the whole body — especially legs, glutes, abs and arms. Helps sculpt your figure, improve fitness and build muscle endurance.

Power Barre

Suitable for all levels — everyone finds their own pace

An energetic class that blends ballet, Pilates and cardio training. Most standing exercises use the barre as support.

Works with bodyweight plus training props. The class focuses on strengthening the core and proper posture, which lays the foundation for control and balance in every movement.

Regular practice improves flexibility, stability and overall strength, toning muscles without unnecessary bulk.

Authentic Barre

Suitable for beginners and experienced alike, the technique adapts

The original barre method, built on the legacy of dancer Lotte Berk. It brings together the elegance of ballet, the principles of Pilates and precise work with the deep stabilising system, all in time with the music.

You work at the barre in small, precise movements. They look unassuming, but the body notices them very quickly.

It builds strength, stability and grace, and with them a conscious connection to your own body.

The technique adapts to your level, so no previous barre experience is needed.

Pilates Mat

Suitable for all levels — beginners and advanced alike

Classical mat Pilates — no Reformer, just bodyweight and accessory props.

Run at a medium controlled pace with focus on deep core muscles, precise technique and breath. The class is held in the Barre studio space. Helps strengthen the whole body, improve flexibility and build a mindful connection to movement — works as a complement to Reformer Pilates or as a standalone practice.

Flexi & Mobility

Suitable for all levels

Stretching that's the ideal complement to Barre training. Stretching is an important part of every workout — even if you focus on Barre, you should include it in your programme.

Better flexibility keeps the body supple and healthy and improves your range of motion in Barre. It releases muscle tension, and after regularly adding flexi sessions the body feels lighter and more relaxed. The class focuses on the front split, middle split and bridge.
